Fellows: 20/75 fellows elevated, 45 in 2004/2005, technical leaders (example: CTO of Verizon).

4 subcommitees were elevated to the category of Technical Committes: Broadband over powerlines, Ad hoc and sensor networks, Communications and Information Security and Communications Design and Development. Two new subcommittees were created: applications of nanotechnologies and Autonomous and Automatic Systems

Encouraged participation in Comsoc Standards activities: P.100.x standards for Spectrum management and Cognitive Radio and P1901.X power lines
