[ ]Communications Advisory Committee
Purpose: To advise and provide feedback and input on Cornerstone marketing and communication strategies in the areas of print, electronic, social, and emerging media; brand awareness; industry awareness; messaging; strategic measurement; outreach; and public/community relations programs.
[ ]Education Advisory Committee
Purpose: To review, evaluate, provide input and recommendations regarding Cornerstone’s Training and Events programs. This includes credit union training needs, educational curriculum to meet those needs, and alternative methods of delivery of training.
[ ]Innovation & Collaboration Committee
Purpose: To explore collaborative models and develop scalable innovative solutions to meet the operational challenges of credit unions while enhancing the cooperative foundation and promoting a vibrant and unified future.
[ ] International Relationships Committee
Purpose:To provide leadership, education and plans for Cornerstone credit unions to serve and
assist in the World-Wide Credit Union System:
In relation to Hispanic outreach, assist with identifying, developing and supporting initiatives and programs beneficial to Cornerstone credit unions in effectively serving their underserved and unbanked Hispanic communities.
In cooperation with the World Council of Credit Unions, develop and enhance collaborative opportunities with the SICREDI Cooperative Confederation of Brazil beneficial to Cornerstone and Brazilian credit unions.
In cooperation with the Jamaica Cooperative Credit Union League, assist with developing plans and strategies relating to operational and financial services, legislative advocacy and regulatory compliance programs; and, assist with facilitating a partnership program fostering collaborative opportunities for credit unions in both Cornerstone and Jamaica.
[ ] Governmental Affairs Committee
Purpose:To make recommendations to the Cornerstone Board of Directors regarding legislative agendas based on input from each state governmental affairs sub-committee. Further, work with the Cornerstone Credit Union League Advocacy Team to provide input to Credit Union National Association on federal legislative and regulatory issues.
[ ] Recognition Committee
Purpose: To review, evaluate and monitor existing recognition programs in relation to honoring
credit union achievements; and,work with Cornerstone staff to facilitate the judging of Cornerstone’s Hall of Fame, Professional of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Marketer of the Year, and Small Credit Union Achiever’s Awards and CUNA’s Dora Maxwell, Louise Herring, Desjardins Youth and Desjardins Adult Award categories.
[ ] Small Credit Union Committee–Committee members are CEOs from CUs in League Asset Category
One; responsibilities include facilitating quarterly training sessions in their locale.
Purpose:To empower small credit unions to remain vital and healthy, foster communication between Cornerstone, chapters and all credit unions, provide a forum for the exchange and discussion of ideas and best practices in all realms of the credit union movement and serve as accountable leaders that provide comprehensive resources and encourage affiliation with and support for the credit union system.
