  • Speaker – Commissioner Pringle
  • Natural Resource Recreation Specialist Brian Burkett answered questions regarding future ADA compliant kayak launches.
Update on Entertainment Subcommittee
  • Speaker – Commissioner Anderson
  • Commissioner Haskell moved for the formation of an exploratory committee to determine whether limited use of the St. Johns River can be permitted for certain events subject to approval by the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

Old Business:
  • Commissioner Hodges thanked Councilman Bowmen and the Jacksonville Chambers for arranging the boat trip to Exchange Club Island. He did have some concerns for how the river taxi handled assisting the handicapped passengers on and off of the boat.
  • Commissioner Pringle thanked Councilman Bowmen and the Jacksonville Chambers for the boat trip. He also voiced his concerns regarding the river taxi’s procedure for assisting handicapped passengers on and off of the boat..
  • Captain Suber answered Commissioner Barkett’s questions regarding boat docking on Jaguar game days. He stated that they are still using the reservation system as before. However, they have been encouraging customers to notify them if they will no longer be using the dock slip so that other customers may use the dock.
