Purpose of the meeting:

Staff meeting

Review timeline and what each committee has accomplished.

Tasks accomplished:

  1. Self-Study:
  2. Went over each report to determine which ones need to be revised or finished.
  3. Meetings will resume in the late August, unless groups who are not finished are meeting over the summer to finish.
  1. Staff Meeting/Announcements
  2. The advisory board is working on a survey to be distributed to alumni. It will be available using Survey Monkey.
  3. Surveys for parents, etc. will be created and available through EdLine.
  4. Changes to the Student Handbook were discussed.
  5. Ensuring that all staff is following the same policy about cell-phones was discussed.
  6. Grade requirements for students wishing to participate in sports, was discussed. Students must maintain an average above 70.
  7. Gerry Massad would like everyone to back up documents saved to their local computers to another memory devise, no later than Friday, June 12. Maintenance will be done to eliminate the slow logon problem some people are having.
  8. Staff was thanked for their help with the graduation events, and was reminded to turn in their regalia no later than Friday, June 12.
  9. Teachers were reminded to collect and account for textbooks.
  10. Next year our school day will be extended to 2:40, with a 9th period added to the rotation. Schedules will be worked out over the summer.
  11. It was suggested that honors classes should be linked together: Math with Science, Social Studies with English.
  12. The MOST class was introduced and described. This class will be for all Freshmen, and will address media skills, study skills, organization skills and time management. Ideas for the class were suggested.
  13. The question of the weight of books was discussed.
  14. Coffee Houses for 09-10 school year will be Oct. 3rd, Feb. 6th, and May 8th.
