  2. Thangs vs. Terminators: The always intriguing 4 v 5 matchup sees the Thangs, minus their offensive leader Scott Pitts taking on the Terminators.
  3. Thunder vs. Wolves: As someone once said, ‘this is why you play the game’ – will the upstart Thunder dispose of the once mighty Wolves or will the strong shooting Wolves pull off the upset?

Men’s Game of the Week – Elders vs. LittleLeaguers (Elite League)

In a huge game for Elite League seeding and momentum for the playoffs, the Elders took on the LittleLeaguers. The Elders were trying to rebound after two straight humiliating defeats and were in desperate need of any kind of positive momentum heading into the playoffs. Meanwhile the LittleLeaguers had a perfect chance of clinching the #1 overall seed for the Elite League tournament. Thanks to Kyle Rice’s 24 points, the Elders hung on and defeated the LittleLeaguers 59 to 54. Smith chipped in with 12 points for the Elders. For the LittleLeaguers, Crowder had 20 and Kourtesis had 10.

Ladies Game of the Week – Bankers vs. Angels

The Bankers took on the Angels in a key ladies game. While the Angels were short-handed, they managed to hang around for most of the game before the Bankers pulled away late and won 39 to 35. For the Bankers, Bruce had 19 and Lilley had 14. For the Angels Barkalow had 12 and Angel for a week Mia Peak had 10.

Legend of the Week –Richard Beville (Killers)

In a game to determine the bottom of the barrel for the A/B league, the Killers took on the Zephyrs. Beville poured in 21 points (several from the inside instead of his usual 3 point bombs) to lead the Killers to the win 58 to 45.

1) Smith (Thunder) – Smith had 21 points to lead the Thunder to 44 to 32 win over the Vulcans.

2) A. Johnson (Vulcans) – In the same game, Johnson finished with 14 points keep the Vulcans in the game for at least a while.

Highlights

/ Maximus / See above. Little and Owens had nice games as well with 15 and 14 points respectively.
/ Khanmen / Olechna had 9 and Miller had 5 in the tough loss.
/ Hoosiers / The Hoosiers disposed of the Inferno 41 to 30 as Michalski had 16 and Robinson had 9.
/ Inferno / Eric ‘Boom-Boom’ Reinert and Adamson led the way for the Inferno with 6 points each.
/ Borg / The Borg got 15 from Moniello and 12 from Snyder in their comfortable 44 to 30 win over the Hustle
/ Hustle / Allen led the way for the Hustle with 14 points.
/ HoundDogs / The HoundDogs thrashed the Terminators 63 to 41 as Tyson had 18, Mehring had 14 and Wesley and Tanenbaum each had 10.
/ Terminators / Cecconi had 13 and Belcher had 9 for the Terminators.
/ Thangs / In the weekly, Mens vs. Ladies matchup, the Thangs took on the Wolves and barely escaped with what little dignity they had left by barely winning. Surprisingly, the difference maker was the large and in charge presence of Phil Caldwell inside who the ladies had no answer for. Not surprisingly, Coach Thang managed to completely embarrass himself by getting trapped in the corner and having the ball stolen for an easy lay-up. Though in all honesty, he may have done that on purpose as being surrounded by three ladies was the closest contact he has had with the fairer sex in months.
/ Wolves (Women’s League) / All the ladies came to play as Rebecca Snowdall was a force inside and Mallory Carrico and Taryn Sullivan shot lights out.
/ Blades / The Blades clinched the #1 seed in the Elite League with a 60 to 47 win over the WestCoasters as Thys had 14, Barber had 13 and Trotter had 12.
/ WestCoasters / Pasquale had 13 and Mills had 11 in the loss.
/ Spartans / The Spartans destroyed the Jackals 80 to 55 with Evans scoring 21 and Ruzic scoring 14.
/ Jackals / Toler had 14 and Fisher had 13 in the loss.
/ FullThrottle / The three headed monster of Richards, Bennett and Maynard powered the FullThrottle to a 59 to 35 win over the StrongArms. Each of them had 12 points in the win.
/ StrongArms / Schuman had 7 while McCleary and Armstrong each had 6 in the loss.
/ Ninja / The Ninja defeated the Money 59 to 45 thanks to Hay’s 22 points and Martinez’s 13.

/ Comanche / The Comanche had no problems with team CACI, winning 50 to 39 as Schohn had 13 and Clark had 11.
/ CACI / Le had 14 and Pruett had 9 in the loss.
/ Raiders / The Raiders escaped with a close 56 to 54 win over the GreyThunder as Matthews continued his stellar play, finishing with 17 points while Pearson added 10.

/ Showtime / Not sure what to write about this game – the Showtime defeated the Wildcats 88 to 14 as D. Wilson had 34 and Dickinson had 17. Is this the BCS?

/ Lightning (women’s league) / The Lightning rebounded from their first loss by defeating the Grippers 60 to 49 as Johnson scored 22 and Stubbs added 19.
