Mrs. Baker, now deceased, spent many years gathering the material for this family genealogy. It was never published. Mrs. Baker's nephew had given me permission to have it copied exactly as she wrote it. Her record stops about 1940 and it has not been brought up to date, as regards marriages, births and deaths.

page 84: X Richard Smedley Baker, 6, (Richard, 5, Richard, 4, Aaron, 3, Richard, 2, Joseph, 1), son of Richard and Orpha Chamberlin Baker, was born 6-21-1834, and died 5-3-1906. He married (1) 8-16-1860 Nancy Anna McCurdy, a descendant of Roger Williams, the founder of Rhode Island, and a daughter of Samuel Finley and Sarah Crawford McCurdy.

page 85: Nancy Anna McCurdy was born 8-30-1841 and died 6-15-1889. Issue six children: McCurdy Rosecrans, Mazzina Sedgwick, Richard Sylvester, Infant girl, Alvah Lawson, Myrta Dyra Baker. Richard Smedley Baker married (2) Emma L. Rogers 9-29-1892. She died in Florida. No Issue.
