Collection of numbers by level- ACTION REQUIRED
In order for the Advisors to get an accurate picture of how many athletes are in each level throughout the state, we are asking all Colorado Xcel member clubs to fill out the following questionnaire no later than February 15, 2014.
Athlete and Coach USAG Membership-
All coaches must be a Pro- Member in good standing and must complete U100. All athletes must have a USAG Membership, minimum introductory athlete.
Items to keep in mind for this season-
1)This is a transitional year, for everybody because of National Rules.
2)The Advisor Board has already expressed some concerns to the National Committee . National committee made it clear that at this time no changes will be made for the 2014 Season.
3)At the end of the season we will evaluate (both the good and bad) and send feedback to National committee for their review to help with updates to the program.
Maximum Age Clarification-
There is no maximum age to compete at any level
Floor Music Clarification-
The Level 2 and 3 USAG JO floor music will meet the time requirements for Bronze and Silver.
Xcel Code of Points-
The new Xcel Code of Points is now available for purchase on the USAG website. We highly recommend each gym order a copy.
Trampoline Vault Board-
We just got clarification on this: If you are hosting a meet you need to provide the alternative vaulting board for use at bronze, silver, and gold. EAS is working on a special promotion for clubs interested in purchasing one. Or find a friend and look to borrow or rent one.
Achievement Ribbons-
With the changes being implemented at the National level and the Xcel league being an Optional only program, achievement ribbons will go away because they are not required to be handed out at a meet per R & P. We do ask that you keep the following in mind: The league was set up with the intention of having athletes walking away feeling good about their performance and would recommend that each gym hosting a meet consider putting time and thought into the medals/awards and trophies/plaques, and look at exceeding the national standards for award depth.
Club Registration-
Please note that we still have some clubs that have not paid their Club registration for 2014. Please make sure to get this done as soon as possible. All forms and payment should be sent:

*Funds transferred to COUSAG per SACC request for judge assigning fees
Formal request to be made to SACC to merge the Xcel website with the Colorado gymnastics website in order to maximize exposure in the gymnastics community not only locally but nationally.
