Standard 1.2: Maintains clear and open lines of communication with student-athletes and captains.
Standard 1.3: Organizes an effective pre-season parent meeting that communicates program philosophy and team expectations.
Standard 1.4: Communicates with parents regarding injuries, academic, personal development and concerns as necessary.
Standard 1.5: Reports pre-game and post-game details to required sports media and school personnel. Acknowledges and celebrates the accomplishments of the student-athletes, team, and coaches.
Standard 1.6: Communicates and revises team policies and procedures. Communicates the Athletic Department Mission as well as the policies and expectations in the student-athlete handbook.

Standard 2.1: Notifies administration of any safety concerns regarding equipment and facilities.
Standard 2.2: Provides proper supervision to athletes prior to, during, and following practices, contests, and travel.
Standard 2.3: Adheres to all athletic department protocol Including but not limited to eligibility, physicals, required forms, and participation fees. Submits paperwork in a timely manner.
Standard 2.4: Coordinates with the Athletic Department for practice and game schedules, transportation, event management, and post-season activities.
Standard 2.5: Maintains adequate records, statistics, etc. on current team and individual athletes.
Standard 2.6: Utilizes medical kit and supplies. Completes injury reports as needed and communicates with students and parents. Communicates with the athletic trainer and athletic director regarding injuries.
Standard 2.7: Provides an accurate and effective inventory system for handling supplies. Maintains accurate records of the distribution and collection of equipment and uniforms.

▪Probationary coaches who do not meet expectations will remain on regular evaluation as scheduled with the possibility of recommendation for non-renewal if significant improvement is not demonstrated in the next school year.
▪Non-probationary/Tenured coaches who do not meet expectations will be placed on “Plan of Assistance” or “Intensive Review” for the next school year.
