COGINCHAUG BASKETBALL CLUB - CBC

Player and Parent Letter of Commitment

The purpose of the Coginchaug Basketball Club’s Travel Basketball Program is to develop and prepare its players for higher levels of competition. To achieve these goals it is important that the player and his/her parents understand the level of commitment and code of conduct required to allow this caliber of program to be successful. Individual development is the result of group effort.

If selected for participation on a CBC Coginchaug Thunder team,

Player and Parent/ Guardian hereby agree to adhere to the above philosophy and uphold the following rules, regulations, and code of conduct as set forth by the Coginchaug Basketball Club for 2014-2015.

  • Abide by the policies, rules, regulations, and directives of CBC and The Big 10 Shoreline Conference
  • Attend team practices, games, and tournaments as scheduled by my coach and/or CBC.
  • Adhere to the training and competitive curriculum set by the coaching staff.
  • Conduct myself in a manner that will foster respect to the CBC and the league (for example, no profanity, proper personal conduct, adequate dress, etc.).
  • Pay all fees in a timely manner, as required by the CBC and individual team commitments.
  • Be respectful to teammates, opponents, officials, spectators, and the coaching staff.
  • PLAYERS SHALL NOT use alcohol, tobacco products, or any other illegal substance at any time.

The CBC emphasizes that our athletes be positive examples to all players, coaches, and parents, statewide. I will show respect to everyone on and off the court. It is my duty to adhere to these values. I understand that my actions on and off the court affect not only my personal welfare, but can also interfere with the level of unity required for my team and myself to be successful. I acknowledge that my conduct can be evaluated at any time by my coaches and CBC officials. Failure to comply may result in immediate dismissal from the team and other CBC programs.

I have read and agree to the above. I acknowledge that I have read and understand the Player and Parent expectations of the CBC. A commitment letter must be on file with the CBC before the player is eligible for participation.
