Thisappliancemustbeefficientlyearthed.Thisappliancerequires230V~50Hz.

Thisappliancemustbeconnectedtothesupplyviaadoublepoleswitch,fusedat3A,havinga3mm(1/8")contactseparationinbothpoles,servingonlytheboilerandsystemcontrols.

MINIMUMCLEARANCES

TheminimumclearancesgivenbelowMUSTbecompliedwithinordertomaintainthesaferunningoftheboilerandtofacilitateservicing.

IMPORTANTNOTES

a. Thisappliancemustnotbeoperated withoutthe casingcorrectlyfittedandforminganadequateseal.

b. Iftheboilerisinstalledinacompartmentthenthecompartment

MUSTNOTbeusedforstoragepurposes.

c. TheventilationprovidedfortheboilerduringinstallationMUST NOTbeblockedandacheckshouldbe made periodicallythattheventilationareasarefreefromanyobstruction.

d. Ifitisknownorsuspectedthatafaultexistsontheboilerthenit MUST NOT be used until the fault has been corrected bya CORGIregisteredinstaller.

TOLIGHTTHEBOILER. Referto Frame 1

1. CHECK THATTHEELECTRICITYSUPPLYTOTHEBOILERISOFF.

2. Deluxe Model(LX)

Lifttheglassfasciaandsupportwithslidingcatch.

Standardmodel.

Openthecontrolsaccessdoorbyhingingdownwards.

3. Ensure that the gas inlet cock (E) isOPEN.

4. Ensurethattheboilerthermostatknob(C)isintheOFF(0)

position.

5. Turnthegascontrolknob(A)totheRIGHTuntilresistanceisfelt,thenreleaseit. WAITFOR3MINUTES

6. Pushinthegascontrolknob(A)andholditdepressed.Pushinandreleasetheigniterbutton(D)repeatedlyuntilthepilotflamecanbeseenthroughthesightglass(B).Whenthepilothaslit,continuetopressinthegascontrolknobforafurther

15seconds.

7. Shouldthepilotgooutatthisoranyotherstageturnthegascontrolknob(A)totheRIGHT.

WAITFOR3MINUTESthenrepeatinstruction6butwaitforlongerthan15secondsbeforereleasingthegascontrolknob(A).

8. Switch ONthe electricity supply to the boiler. Checkthatallexternalcontrols,e.g.roomthermostatetc.,areON.

9. Turntheboilerthermostatknob(C)toposition6andtheboilerwilllight.Settheboilerthermostattothedesiredposition.

10.DeluxeModel(LX)

Lowertheglassfasciaafterpushingintheslidingcatch.

Standardmodel.

Closethecontrolsaccessdoor.

Inwinterconditions,i.e.centralheatinganddomestichotwater, thethermostatshouldbesetatposition5or6.

Forsummerconditions,i.e.domestichotwater only, thethermostatshouldbesetatposition3.

Thesesettings,however,areofferedforgeneralguidanceonlyandothersettingsmaybefoundpreferable,dependentuponthetypeofsysteminstalledorasrecommendedbytheinstaller.

TOSHUTDOWNTHEBOILER

1. For shortperiods

TurntheboilerthermostatknobtoOFF. Whenheatingisagainrequired,restoretheknobtoitsoriginalsettings.

2. For longerperiods

TurntheboilerthermostatknobtoOFF. Turnthegascontrolknob(A)totherightuntilresistanceisfeltthenreleaseittoextinguishthepilotburner.

Switch the electricity supply toOFF.

WARNING. If no frost protection is provided and frost islikelyduringa short absence from home, leave the heating controls at areducedtemperaturesetting.

Forlongerperiods,theentiresystemshouldbedrained-includingthedomesticwatersupply. Ifthesystem includesafrostthermostatthen,duringcoldweather,theboilershouldbeturnedOFFatthetimeswitch(es)ONLY.ThemainssupplyshouldbeleftswitchedON, withtheboilerthermostatleftinthenormalrunningposition.

BOILEROVERHEATTHERMOSTAT(Iffitted)

Theboilerisfittedwithasafety'cutout'thermostat.Thisthermostatwillextinguishthepilotandshutdowntheboilerintheeventofoverheating.

Should this occur allow the boiler to cool, press the resetbutton

(F) then relight as detailed in steps 1-10 in 'To light theboiler'.

IfthecutoutconditionstillpersiststhenturnofftheboilerandconsultaCORGIregisteredinstaller.

CONTROLOFWATERTEMPERATURE

1. Adjusttheboilerthermostat(C)togivetherequiredtemperatureforcentralheating.

2. TheboilerthermostatautomaticallyswitchesthemainburnerOFFandONtomaintaintheselectedtemperature.Thepilotburnerremainsalightcontinuouslytogivere-ignitionofthemainburner.

Iftheredarrowonthemodulepressuregaugeissetabovezeroandthesystempressureisseentofallbelowthisvalueoveraperiodoftimethenawaterleakisindicated. InthiseventaCORGIregisteredinstallershouldbeconsulted.

DONOTOPERATETHEBOILERIFTHEPRESSUREHASREDUCEDTOZEROFROMTHEORIGINALSETTING.

ESCAPEOFGAS

Shouldagasleakbesuspected,contactyourgassupplierwithoutdelay.

DoNOTsearchforgasleakswithanakedflame.

CLEANING

Fornormalcleaningsimplydustwithadrycloth.

Toremovestubbornmarksandstains,wipewithadampclothandfinishoffwithadrycloth.

DoNOTuseabrasivecleaningmaterials.

MAINTENANCE

Theapplianceshouldbeservicedatleastonceayearbya
