If a person holds any valid issued classroom teaching/pps certificate, a coaching certificate/license is not necessary. However, they are held to this same “schedule” of requirements. The AD is required to maintain a file with appropriate documentation of proof of completion of these requirements.

Student teachers in PE are no longer required to obtain a Temporary coaching license to coach while in their student teaching assignment.

A person must complete all coaching coursework within 5 years unless the P12 PE professional (Darryl Dailey) approves a time extension (max 7 years). Please submit a copy of the Time extension approval.
