I. PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
____1. Cooperates with the Athletic Director and secretarial staff in regard to submitting participant lists, bus times, parent permission and physical cards year-end reports, program information relative to your sport and coaching plan prior to season.
____2. Follows policy in the athletic handbook and meets all criteria as outlined in job description.
____3. Provides training/team rules to team members in writing and follows due process procedures.
____4. Develops rapport with the athletic coaching staff.
____5. Is appropriately dressed at practice and games.
____6. Participates in in-service meetings and other activities to improve coaching performance. Attends meeting necessary to the welfare of theathletic department.
____7. Develops sound public relations. Cooperates with newspapers, radio, television, and interested spectators.
____8. Understands and follows rules and regulations set forth by all governing agencies: state association, Board of Education, and league.
____9. Participates in parent's night, banquets, award nights, pep assemblies and letters to colleges regarding players.
____10. Maintains suitable sideline conduct at games towards players, officials, and other workers.
____11. Develops rapport with other teachers, coaches and administrators.
____12. Works cooperatively with junior high coaches in developing a coordinated program.
____13. Promotes all sports in the athletic program attempting to foster school spirit.
____14. Cooperates and communicates with parents during the entire year.
____15. Works cooperatively with the Athletic Director.
II. COACHING PERFORMANCE
____1. Develops respect by example in appearance, manners, behavior, language, and conduct during a contest.
____2. Provides proper supervision and administration of locker and training room and on bus trips.
____3. Is well versed and knowledgeable in matters pertaining to the sport.
____4. Develops integrity within the coaching staff, fellow coaches and works to make better coaches.
____5. Is fair, understanding, tolerant, sympathetic and patient with team members.
____6. Is innovative using new coaching techniques and ideas in addition to sound, already proven methods of coaching.
____7. Is prompt in meeting team for practices and games.
____8. Shows an interest in athletes in off-season activities and classroom efforts.
____9. Provides leadership and attitudes that produce positive efforts by participants.
____10. Knows the medical aspects of the position, including first aid, injury policies, working with team doctor and/or family physician.

____8. Encourages all potential athletes to participate in the sport provided they aren't involved in another sport at the same time during thatparticular season.
____9. Follows proper procedure for purchase of equipment.
____10. Continues to enhance knowledge of sport and coaching ability through classes, clinics, PACE, etc.
