Co-publishing between KTH Royal Institute of Technology and other Swedish organizations

Statistics of co-publishing between KTH Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and other Swedish organization is presented in the Excel document named “CollabStat_KTH-SweOrgs.xls”. The KTH publications included in the analysis are obtained from the local publication database of KTH, DiVA, and registered in Web of Science. The publications are published in the period 2008-2014. Publications published before 2008 are not taken into account, since Web of Science does not contain connections between author and address for such publications. The publications were retrieved 2015-04-27.

In the sheet ‘Table 1” in the Excel file CollabStat_KTH-SweOrgs.xls,the number of collaboration publications for KTH and other Swedish organizations are reported. The number of collaboration publications by number of authors is also given. The table is sorted descending after total number of publications, then ascending after organization name, and within organization name ascending after publication year.

The sheet “Table 2” in the file reports the number of collaboration publications for the different organization types, like Institute, by publication year, as well as the share of collaboration publications relative to the number of KTH publications (per year and over years).For a given organization type, collaboration publications with more than 50 authors are not taken into account (cf. the columns “collab_year” and “collab_over_years”).

In the sheet “Table 3”, the number of collaboration publications for the involved organizations by publication year is given.For a given organization, collaboration publications with more than 50 authors are not taken into account.

Note that the organization Nordita is excluded from the analysis. The reason is that there are publications, which involve both KTH and Nordita, but for which we don't know whether the indicated collaboration is spurious or not.
