Career Pathway:
Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) / Students must successfully pass the following four courses in order to sit for the End-of-Pathway Assessment:
·  46.54500 Industry Fundamentals and Occupational Safety
·  47.41400 Introduction to HVACR Systems
·  47.41500 Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR)
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Section 608 Certification:
·  Type I Certification (Small Appliances)
·  Type II Certification (Medium, High & Very High Pressure Appliances)
·  Type III Certification (Low-Pressure Appliances)
·  Universal Certification (Type I, Type II & Type III Certifications)
NOTE: In order to obtain a Type I, II, or III certification, a student must pass the Core Certification Section of the exam and a Type I, II, or III Section of the exam to be certified in that particular area. A student can earn a Universal Certification by passing all four sections of the EPA 608 Certification Exam (Core, Type I, II, and III).

Exam Cost: / $25.00 per exam online
NOTE: Students are eligible to take up to four (4) free re-tests by utilizing the on-line exam format
Duration of Exam: / 2 hours
Number of Questions: / 100 questions broken into four sections; 25 questions in each section
Exam Cut Score: / 70% in each section (must answer at least 18 questions out of 25 correctly in each section)
Test Ordering Information: / To establish your school as a testing site, an approved proctor must be designated. To become an approved proctor, go to the following link and complete the ESCO Proctor Application Form: http://escoinst.com/Documents/ProctorApplication.pdf. The application form should be printed, completed, scanned (or filled out electronically) and sent to the following email address: . The completed form can also be faxed to 1-800-546-3726.
Once proctor status has been designated, on-line exams can be purchased by visiting:
·  Visit www.escogroup.org and click Proctor Login (located at the top right side of screen).
·  Enter your User ID and Password.
·  Once you are logged into the secure area, click on the “EXAMS” menu option across the top of the page.
·  Click the BOX on the right that addresses your testing needs. (i.e. Purchase Exams)
·  Choose the type of exam you wish to conduct from the pull down menu. (608)
·  Choose the exam and quantity then click “Add to Cart.” (Note: Section 608 has several versions. Exam candidates sitting next to each other MUST have different versions).
·  Verify the quantity and exam is correct and click “Checkout.”
·  Verify the billing address, enter any missing information & choose your payment method. (Credit card or Purchase Order.) Complete the required information and Click “Proceed to Summary.”
·  Review your order and payment information for correctness and click “Complete Order.”
·  You will then receive a message that your order has been completed along with an order number. An e‐mail will
automatically be sent to the e‐mail address used in the
ordering process.
