  • eCW houses various metrics in 2 different dashboards; one specifically for MU and one for clinical decision making. The clinic would prefer to have all of this information in one location but this is unlikely to occur as it would require a change to the system be made by eCW.
  • The clinic is able to run the appropriate reports for MU but is not seeing data where it is expected. They believe this is a system issue due to not pulling the correct codes in the reports. They have reached out to eCW support but when getting responses they seem to be “very brief descriptions of how to do something and do not take responsibility”.
  • Given the limited assistance from eCW support it is recommended that the clinic works with a 3rd party support vendor that specializes in eCW.
  • This recommendation was passed along to the clinic and they advised they have already taken this step and will continue to work with the 3rd party for their support needs.
  • Recommend that the clinic follows-up with the OMMUTAP workflow team to help with reporting numbers.

Conclusions:
The clinic has had difficulty getting appropriate support from their EHR vendor. They are already working with a 3rd party to provide support for their EHR but do still have to request some help from their vendor. This has already caused difficulty in reporting for MU and could continue if the level of support does not improve.
Despite this, the clinic is aware of their performance and has a good understanding of what needs to be done to improve their numbers. This clinic would benefit from workflow assistance.
