Nomination Criteria for the 2018Business of the Year Award:

Criteria One: Business Nominees must be a “for profit” business operating successfully for a minimum

of three years. Non-Profit Nominees must be disclose NFP type per IRS code.

Criteria Two: Nominee must be a current member of the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Each nominee will be interviewed by a team of judges, who will select as a group the winner in each specific category. Some or all of the following criteria will be of interest to the judges, as well as tour of your enterprise, if appropriate:

Criterion Two: Employment Policies, Procedures & Benefits

  • Describe how you attract and retain your employees.

Criterion Three: Growth of Company Revenues and Profitability

  • Describe how you have grown your revenue over the past three years.

Criterion Four: Innovations in Company Product(s) and Service(s)

  • Describe any products/services you plan to add in the future.
  • Florida Chamber predicts that 50% of existing jobs will be disrupted by technology by the year 2030 – how does your entity manage the challenges of technology?

Criterion Five: Response to Adversity

  • Describe a major challenge/problem your company has faced and how it was resolved.
