Employer Services

Clark County Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) office provides a variety of services to employers affected by the Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) Law and Voluntary CTR employers. Working closely with Employee Transportation Coordinators (ETCs) at worksites across the county, we provide personalized, customized assistance in the development, design, implementation and maintenance of employer commute trip reduction programs.

Employer Outreach and Support

  • Personal one-on-one site visits with employers
  • Topical presentations at work sites to management, CTR committees and employee groups
  • Key local resource for commute trip reduction information, issues and challenges
  • On-going support via telephone and written correspondence

  • Basic ETC Training Course
  • Survey Workshop
  • CTR Information Workshop
  • Mini-Workshop Series - Topic-specific workshops held periodically

Technical Services

  • Employee Home Locator Maps using Geographic Information System (GIS) technology
  • CTR pre-printed survey forms, along with survey planning assistance and analysis

ETC and Employee Educational Materials

  • Assorted posters, flyers, brochures, bookmarks and camera-ready promotional materials

Emergency Ride Home

  • Emergency Ride Home (ERH) offered to affected and voluntary CTR worksites who have signed ERH Orientation Course and Employer Guide provided for participating employers
  • ERH Kit with a supply of taxi vouchers and instructions

ETC Networking

  • Facilitate and support ETC network meetings

Promotional Services

  • Transportation Fairs at affected work sites with informational display and giveaway items
  • Reserved Rideshare Parking signs and Carpool ID tags to designate preferential parking for carpools and vanpools
  • Innovative Promotions and Incentives contains a variety of exciting promotional ideas implemented by local employers, along with commute subsidies and incentives information

2016 Regional Promotional Campaigns

The Clark County CTR program sponsors promotional campaigns to encourage and reward employees at participating CTR worksites to try alternative commute options to work.

  • Carpool Campaigns (February and October) – Month long carpool campaigns encouraging employees to share a ride to work at least 5 times during the campaign
  • National Walk to Work Day (April 1)
  • National Bike to Work Week (May 16-20)
  • Bike to Work Week(June) –A week long campaign rewarding employees who take a non-pollute (walk or ride a bike) commute to work. Participants are entered to win exciting prizes. Sponsored by the Clark County CTR office.
  • Try Transit Week (September 19-23)
