The following is additional information regarding Invitation to Bid # SCL-3750 titled Electric Utility Grade Linemen’s Gloves and Rubber Goods released on 05/15/2017. The due date and time for responses is 06/09/17 at 2PM (Pacific). This addendum includes both questions from prospective proposers and the City’s answers and revisions to the ITB. This addendum is hereby made part of the ITB and therefore, the information contained herein shall be taken into consideration when preparing and submitting a bid.

5 / 05/24/17 / 05/24/17 / Do you have an annual estimated usage for the department? / Yes. The usage for 2016 is listed on the Bid Offer Form.
6 / 05/24/17 / 05/24/17 / In order for me to get the best price from the manufacturer and pass on savings to your department, I have to provide a volume usage, would it be possible to get estimated usage? / Yes. The usage for 2016 is listed on the Bid Offer Form. But, please note there is no guarantee of utilization as stated in the ITB document.
7 / 05/25/17 / 05/25/17 / You have stated several approved brands/manufacturers, if line items were left blank does that mean a vendor may offer any of the enumerated brands on that particular style or an alternate? / No. There shouldn’t be any alternate brands. All items except line 1 on the bid offer form are tied to a SCL Material Standard and the City will only accept specified items from those approved Manufacturers. So, if only one Manufacturer is approved for an item, then that is the only item you can offer.

16 / 05/25/17 / 05/30/17 / On pages 2 and 4, it states that you intend to award one contract but reserves the right to make multiple awards. I was wondering if you will award this by line item if it is financially viable for the city and in order to meet WMBE goals? / No. Please see question #9.
17 / 05/25/17 / 05/30/17 / For items 33A – 33H, even though you stated on the description only one brand and the MS 7634.60 states Salisbury as well, will you take Salisbury for the offer? / No, you must quote the items on the bid offer form for lines 33A – 33H.
18 / 05/25/17 / 05/30/17 / Can you make a statement then that the stated manufacturer is not the sole brand allowed and refer to the #7634.60 for other brands approved? / No. You must quote the items listed on the bid offer form.
19 / 05/25/17 / 05/30/17 / On #7634.20, the list for approved manufacturers are size specific, can you please let me know if I quote all one manufacturer while it is blank on size 10 and 11, can I quote Edwards from 7-13 size then? / No. You must quote the items as they are listed on the bid offer form.
20 / 05/25/17 / 05/30/17 / As I was looking at your price sheet and specs sheet, on the specs sheet 7624.17you have NorthStar Gloves as cowhide. On the price sheet, 81-87 should have been NorthStar per specs sheet, did you change to all goatskin? / No. On SCL Material Standard. 7634.17 stock #13193 - #13199 are all goat skin and #13189 thru #13192 are North Star gloves which are not listed on the bid offer form.
