BAYSIDE AREA LITTLE LEAGUE WEEK

IN HONOR OF THE

UNDEFEATED 9 YEAR OLD BOYS ALL-STAR TEAM

WHEREAS, the sport of baseball expresses the heart and character of America and for many years has been properly recognized as our Nation’s pastime; and

WHEREAS, Little League Baseball is a program of service to the youth of our community, dedicated to teaching sportsmanship and the competitive will to win, as well as furthering physical fitness and well-being through healthful community activity to provide valuable training for the participants and entertainment for the spectators; and

WHEREAS, the City of Seabrook is extremely proud to be the home of the Bayside Little League which has served the youth of Seabrook and the surrounding communities for many years; and

WHEREAS, this year the 9 year old Boys All Star Team has played an undefeated season at both the local and district level which is the highest level of achievement possible for 9 year old players throughout the United States; and

WHEREAS, the Bayside All Star Team has been declared “District 14 Champs”;

now, therefore, by virtue of the authority invested in me as Mayor and on behalf of the City Council and Citizens of the City of Seabrook, I hereby proclaim the week of June 18-24, 2000 as

BAYSIDE AREA LITTLE LEAGUE WEEK IN THE CITY OF SEABROOK

in honor and appreciation of the accomplishments of the 9 Year Old Boys All Star Team and the dedication and support of their coaches and parents; and in appreciation of the hard work of all the players, coaches and parents in the Bayside Area Little League during this successful 2000 playing season.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Seabrook to be affixed.
