Urban Watershed Walking Tour - Kirkland
Saturday , June 5, 2010 10:00am to 2:00pm
Stormwater - it flows off our roofs, down our streets, and across our parking lots - and it's the biggest pollution problem in Puget Sound. Learn from stormwater expertshow you can make a difference to fix this problem in this hands-on and on-the-ground experience.
Our tour will start at Everest Creek and follow the path stormwater takes from there. As we walk, we'll place "Puget Sound Starts Here" storm drain markers along our route. Along the way, we'll pull up a manhole cover and take a look at the water flowing under our feet. The tour will culminate at Heritage Hall on the shores of Lake Washington to discuss how to take direct action to clean up our stormwater.
  • Starting Location: Everest Park Entrance at 500 8th Street South
  • Ending Location: Heritage Hall, then walk back to our cars together
There are only 30 spots available, RSVP today!
