40th Anniversary Celebration

The Cal Poly, City and Regional Planning Department will be celebrating our 40thAnniversary this fall, so mark your calendars for the weekend of October 24th – 26th, 2008. We have heard from some of you, but know that many more are interested in attending and have not RSVPed.

Support Options

This is an alumni-driven event. Support may be in the form of joining the Curriculum or Career Panels, providing monetary support, digging out old photos or just talking to people. Email if you want to support the 40th Anniversary activities.

Sponsorships/ Donor Support

Sponsorships are set at three levels

$250$500and $1,000 plus

Donations may be at any dollar amount.

If you or your agency/firm wish to be sponsors/donors, please email us the amount to be given and then mail a check payable to CRP Department Discretionary Fund with 40th Anniversary in the “for” area.

Alumni/ Faculty CRP Curriculum Brainstorm Session

Interested alumni will meet with faculty to discuss ideas for improving on the Department’s curriculum and better prepare students for planning careers. Alumni support through resources, courses and networking as well as the future formation of an Alumni Association group will be touched on.

Alumni Career Panels

A Career Panel will be assembled to talk to students about their job experiences and advice for new planners. This will take place on Saturday afternoon.

Memorabilia - We are collecting pictures and memorabilia from the good old college days to be shown over the weekend. Photos should be in an electronic format to go into a slideshow.
