Revision of Pay for Craftworkers, General Operative and related gradesdue under Sustaining Progress – December 2005

Tipperary Rural & Business Development Institute.

I am directed by the Minister for Education and Science to refer to the application in respect of Craftworkers, General Operative and related grades of pay increases arising from the Parallel Benchmarking Agreement Analogue 2003 and the general round increases due under Sustaining Progress.

Payment of the increases provided for in Sustaining Progress aredependent on verification of co-operation with flexibility and ongoing change, satisfactory implementation of the agenda for modernisation,maintenance of stable industrial relations and absence of industrial action in respect of any matters covered by the Sustaining Progress Agreement.

As the Progress Report inrespect of those grades comprehended by the Parallel Benchmarking agreement has been approved, the Secretary General of this Department and the Education Sector Performance Verification Group have approved payment of the increases due with effect from 1st December 2005 provided for in Paragraph 14.2 of the Mid Term Review for Craftworkers, General Operative and related grades in Institutions of Technology with the exception of General Operatives in Limerick I.T.

Sanction is conveyed for the application of these increases to the pensions of retired staff on the same basis. The revised rates of pay are attached herewith.
