SafeLandUSA Minutes

For

August 29, 2006

Present at the meeting were Larry Jones – Dominion, Tommy Rakowitz – Halliburton, Billy Stidham – Shell E&P, Joe Hurt – IADC, Chuck Price – BP, Roosevelt Smith – Tetra, Dustin Hoffpauir – Anadarko, L.G. Langley – Anadarko, John Virdine – Moncla/AESC, Brian Callahan – ISN, Arthur Washington – ExxonMobil, Adrienne Turner – ISN, Pete Eustis – PEC, Greg Hardin – OXY, Rick Ingram – BP

Larry Jones opened with a safety moment saying in the event of possible house break-in it is possible to use your car’s alarm if your house is not equipped with an alarm system.

Chuck Price read the anti trust guidelines.

The minutes of the last meeting were approved.

Because of his schedule Rick Ingram asked if Larry Jones would chair the curriculum committee and he would act as a back-up to Larry. Larry accepted the chairmanship.

Billy Stidham expressed his concern about adding modules to SafeLand (SL) and changing it so much it would not alien with SafeGulf (SG). He felt Shell would not accept SL if it did not align with the SG program. There was more discussion around this issue and it was decided that a side by side comparison should be completed to determine what differences exist between SG and SL. (see attached comparison) It was also decided that where SG and SL alien the modules should have the same title.

It was also decided to adopt all of the SG processes such as audits, instructor qualifications, delivery methods and accreditation polices. These will placed on the SL website and reflect the change in name from SG to SL.

The action items for the next meeting are:

1.  ISNet to be put on the next agenda to explain how the ID card functions.

2.  Set a date with SafeGulf about a joint meeting to accept SafeLand curriculum.

3.  Change the SafeGulf document to reflect SafeLandUSA and place on the website.

4.  Get a copy of the SafeGulf operator’s communication letter so it can be reviewed by the SafeLand operators.
