Welcome to Canopy Education

This document was created to supply information about Canopy Courses and the Registration Process.

When will classes conducted? How many classes? Are the classes mandatory?

  • Classes will be conducted from November 9 thru December 19, 2015.
  • Providers are required to complete8 to 12 hours of education (depending on your current experience with the EMR) before the January 1, 2016conversion.
  • Satisfactory attendance and proficiency of all required education classes is mandatory.

Courses are grouped by specialty:

Specialty / Duration / Number of Courses
Anesthesia, CRNA / 8 hours: one course
Hospitalist / 12 hours: three, 4 hr courses
Surgery (General, Ortho, ENT, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Etc.) / 12 hours: three, 4 hr courses
Medicine(including Behavioral Health / 12 hours: three, 4 hr courses
Hybrid- Providers currently using Canopy in the Ambulatory setting (except OB/GYN and Peds) / 8 hours: one, 4 hr Hybrid course; plus one, 4 hr specialty course (Medicine or Surgery Course 3)
OB/GYN / 12 hours: three, 4 hr courses
Pediatrics / 8 hours: two, 4 hr courses
Emergency / 8 hours: one course
Radiology / 8 hours: two, 4 hr courses

Classes will be conductedat the following location:

  1. Under the Stanly Implementation Information, usethe Provider Course Schedule and Registration Informationto identify the dates and times of the specialty-specific courses.

  • 1st tab is the schedule, sorted by date
  • 2nd tab is the schedule, sorted by course
  • 3rd tab provides registration details

  1. Complete theAdd/Change/Delete Form to register for course(s) or to change or delete a previous registration.
OR / Type or use a black or blue pen to print your Full Name, Stanly Employee ID, or Date of Birth for non-CHS employees.
Please identify the1st and 2nd Choice Date/Time of the desired course in the space provided on theAdd/Change/Delete Form.
If your 1st and 2nd choices are both unavailable, you will be contacted by an IS Scheduling/Logistics Team member.
  • Remember to identify an emailaddress, phone and fax numbers

  1. Call 704-512-6000 to register or reschedule, Monday thru Friday, 9am – 5pm.
