Do you feel called to write, but can’t find the time to stop and hear His voice? Regardless of your location on the writing path, this weekend is designed just for you. Come join us for 4 days of writing in peaceful solitude. Bible study will open and close our days as we seek direction from the Master Author.
The $190 registration fee includes three nights’ lodging, nine home-cooked meals, help with transportation from Simpsonville, snacks, one-on-one instruction, and free give-aways—and you don’t have to cook or clean up! Since this cabin will hold 16, we may need help with transportation from Simpsonville. If you offer your vehicle, we suggest that everyone in each car share expenses for gas.
The retreat will be held in a four-bedroom, 3 bath cabin in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. Beds include 2 queens (for two each), 1 full (for two), 2 full futons (for two each), 2 twins, and bunkbeds. Linens and towels are included. This is a non-smoking facility.
There will be hours of uninterrupted writing time, instructional and Q&A sessions, critiques (if desired), and free time for visiting, shopping and rest. Laptops are welcome, but not required. Bring any material you would like to share with the group or privately with Edie or Vonda. Since this is a writing retreat, we ask that everyone respect writing sessions and refrain from conversation or other distractions that would disturb those working. Please feel free to take quiet breaks as necessary. Edie and Vonda will be available for feedback during writing sessions.
