In 2008 we decided to leave behind [except on High Days and Holy Days] the Revised Common Lectionary for a time in order to work our way through the Bible. Each week we continue to have 4 readings; however, the theme of the week was dependant on the main reading. In the beginning, the main reading was the Old Testament lesson; in the second part of the experiment, the main reading was the New Testament lesson.
