The Skills Clinic is a great opportunity to improve specialized skills and spend quality time in an individual skill area. The clinic is open to girls and boys GRADES rising 6 thru 12. The first session will be from 9:00-12:00 with a lunch break from 12:00-1:00 p.m. and the second session from 1:00-4:00 p.m. On Sunday there will be no break. Participants will need to bring their own lunch. *ALL CAMPERS WILL RECEIVE A FREE CAMP T-SHIRT**

Registration MUST be mailed by July 1, 2007.

The Team Camp provides members of junior and senior high school girls' volleyball teams the opportunity to train together, while developing and refining their skills. Individual skill training will be taught through out the camp. In addition, teams will participate in pool play with tournament brackets to conclude the camp. Mini-seminars for coaches will be held throughout the week.

COACHES ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE CAMP WITH THEIR TEAM.

1st Coach FREE (per team of 6 or more players), 2nd Coach - $100.00.

APPLICATIONS FOR TEAM CAMP MUST BE SENT TOGETHER

Resident tuition: $235.00 Commuter tuition: $195.00

The fee for this camp includes tuition, housing, dining and all recreational activities.

Awards will be given to Tournament Bracket winners, and the Camp All-Star Team.

Check Out: following the conclusion of play on Thursday, Aug. 2 (approximately 6pm or earlier).

CAMP STAFF

Camp Director - Chris Phillips

Chris Phillips is in her third season with the Runnin’ Bulldogs and her twenty-first season as a head coach. She has twenty plus seasons as a collegiate coach, twelve of those at Liberty University. Coach Phillips guided her teams to three NCAA Tournaments and three Big South Championships. She was named the Big South Coach of the Year in 1997 and 2001. Phillips has coached several 20 win seasons. She has compiled a lengthy track record of directing and coaching volleyball clinics and camps at colleges and high schools across the nation. Phillips has directed and administered volleyball camps for several years, watching them grow to over 500 participants. Team Camps have grown to 50 plus teams from all over the country.

Camp Coordinator - Laura Hatfield

Laura Hatfield is the undergraduate coordinator for sport management at West Georgia University. Prior to her graduate work, she coached high school and college volleyball, but most notably was the head coach for Liberty University from 1998-1999 in which her team finished with an impressive 21-14 record and the 1998 regular season Big South Conference Champions. Laura also played for Liberty and once held the all-time career assist record with 3,822.

Laura is married to Lance Hatfield. They both teach in the Sport Management program at West Georgia Univ. and have a daughter, Lindsay age 3.

Program Director – Phuong Luong

After coaching at various levels in Michigan, Luong’s coaching career soared to the next level as he became the first assistant of the University of New Hampshire women’s team from 1996-1998 where he helped the Wildcats reach the conference tournament finals in his second year as coach. His next step in his coaching career would keep Phuong on the East coast taking over first assistant responsibilities at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, where the team posted back-to-back 20-win seasons, which led him to the head coaching position at Wentworth Institute of Technology men’s volleyball program. At Wentworth, Luong led his squad to conference championships from 1998-2000 and finished 13th in the final AVCA Div. III national rankings during the 1999 campaign. While attending Ferris State University, Luong played four years with the school’s highly competitive club squad as well as two seasons with the Grand Rapids (Michigan) AAU Junior Olympic 18’s Elite Team. From there, he spent two more years playing in the Midwest Professional Volleyball Association.
