Choices of Solomon
When 9/11 happened, Bush correctly saw he had three choices. The first and easiest was to continue on the road set by his predecessor. Give stern speeches, call the blue helmets of the United Nations and lob a few missiles at empty tents and aspirin factories. The second was to end this war of 1,400 years by turning all of Islamostan into silicon dust, killing a billion people. The third was a long shot. Install a democracy and hope it flowers and spreads fast enough to overcome the final act of Jihad and the worldwide caliphate Islamofascists of today believe is coming soon, very soon.
He chose the third. It had a very slim chance of working and only if he had a united Western World behind him. He did,for two days. It now has no chance of working so now it's just delay the final outcome. We retreat over there or we retreat over there.
Message to the millions of Bush haters: this began 14 centuries ago and those that hate us, hate me and they hate you every bit as much. There is no compromise. They would rather be here and you're the Fight Column that is making that possible. When it happens, don't blame George Bush. Hillary will be in office by then. Look in a mirror to see who brought death to your door. Many tried to stop you but you won. Be happy, you won.
Those who can only criticize and those who consider America to be the source of every evil in the world will soon watch their wishes granted. They will then realize too late they were wrong. As John Kerry discovered this week, a "sorry" from them won't be enough. In most of our life times we will each be told to make a choice, "submit or die". Left, Right or Independent, there will be no place to hide. Decide what your answer will be. You WILL have no choice but to answer.
