Comparison between assets and children by Rev V.J. Sigudla

ASSETS / CHILDREN
Our assets time and again more especially cars, are taken for a major services / Our children knew nothing about major services spiritual, emotional, mentally, physically and socially whatsoever.
Our assets are regarded as my second wife or husband [more especially cars or my darling] when being driving you will hear statements like “come on my darling” / Our children are not appreciated and told time and again how precious they are. They are called like donkeys I quote “Hey wena…”I have never heard the car being called like that.
Fathers spend most of their time with assets such as cars, motor bikes, cell phones, computers, books, friends, drinks etc that breaks their relationship with the entire family. / Our children are deprived the opportunity of spending time with their parents by these assets and friends.
Much money is spend on the monthly basis on assets as monthly payments as not to be attached or repossessed. / Less is spent on our children to improve their worthiness and affirm their beauty and importance for their future. And payments for their education is lacking.
If the car is stolen or the house is broken and assets stolen, the parents spend sleepless nights over the assets situation. Insurances will be consulted that very same minute or hour. / But if our children both girls and boys spent the nights and weekend out, parents have sweet dreams and care less about the where-about of their children
Assets [cars] do not tell us that they need servicing except the latest cars with modern technology; it is the duty of the owner to take the car for a serious service. / Our children always bother us rightfully about their needs and wants and we just ignore them or give them a cold shoulder, until they see to finish how they improvise for their situation. Worse of all after they have improvised for themselves parents do not even ask questions about the improvisation that took place.
Anything that took place during the night that threaten the stealing of some of these assets such as cars, the owner immediately risks his life to check what is taking place. / Let alone the sleeping out of the boys and girls of the family that goes unnoticed.
Assets are replaceable. / Children are not replaceable once gone for ever gone.
Assets are panel-beatable / Children are not panel-beatable once damaged; mentally, Spiritually, Physically and morally, rehabilitation will be tried with little success in most cases. Death would be the last answer to such damages incurred by the child.
I believe many things erupted in your mind when you were reading about these comparisons. It is up to us as parents to be ready to give the right account to God on the judgment day concerning these precious gifts that were cheapened and lowered below mere assets. What are we doing to undo all the scratches and damage already incurred by our love ones?
Whites go to the extent of loving animals more than their children. you would see these dogs and cats in their cars and in their arms being carried like children. when these animals dies, the pastor is called in order to come and say the last prayer for a dog. What about children that are a gift from God?

SOLUTION.

Children are naughty by nature and we need to tolerate them since we are called to parent them. Parenting means taking care of these naughty boys and girls.

Secondly: we need to understand what a gift is?

A gift is something that you have been given.

A is something which you do not deserve. Many families are crying day and night for children and they are childless and you have six of them and you play around with them?

Many families wish they could not have aborted that child, and many young people are busy aborting thousands of powerless, innocent foetus every minute. These gifts are being destroyed just like that senselessly by thinking human beings and animals are not doing that.

Let us take our responsibility and care for these gifts, for their our future doctors, lawyers, nurses, leaders, presidents, police commissioners, our scientists, builders, economists, political analysts, teachers, Journalists, Ambassadors etc. I believe you do not know that child of yours, you know her as Koketso, you know him as Pule, and they are far beyond those names. They are world VIP’s and the credit is going to come back to Mothanthanyaneng tomorrow thus parents let us carry our responsibilities for these kids.

Save as much as you can now for next year school, as you buy whatsoever for Christmas, do not forget that January the 11th is coming for the Child to go back to School.

The school is one of the four institutions that help to develop the man and the women within this child. The other three institutions are :

  1. a home, very important as a primary basic first institution. Manners are taught here.
  2. The school is the secondary institution, this is for head knowledge and not manners, thus parents stop blaming teachers that are not teaching your children manners. I have never come across a subject that is called manners.
  3. The community. What is happening in this community will surely affect our children. A community without fathers, will results in boys without manners. This has to do with social development of the child. Social derives from society.
  4. The church: the church deals with the spiritual development of the church. If you do not allow your child to go to a Sunday school at the church, then you are merely allowing your child to make a decision of going to the tavern as they grow. Teach a child the way he should go and when he is grown up, he will not forget it. Proverbs 6:22
