Categories:You may enter multiple categories: Table/Booth presentation; Appetizers (may include soups, salads and snacks; Entrée (Main Dish with or without meat); Dessert; Cake (taste and texture); Cake Decoration; Heart Healthy Entree.
Prize: Awards:First Place Team Leader Medallionand Certificates for all other winning categories.

Living the Good Life is your opportunity to “show off” and market your “best dish” to Eastern North Carolina.We are inviting you and other restaurants, chefs, bakers, and organizations from all over Eastern North Carolina to prepare signature dishesand provide them for tasting. Celebrity judgeswill vote on their favorite from each of the above categories making this an exciting competition.Returning this year is the verypopular People’s Choice Awards. By purchasing a $5.00 admission wrist band, Living the Good Life attendees are invited to taste each dish and participate by voting for their favorites in the People’s Choice Awards.
This “Tasting the Good Life” of Eastern North Carolina Culinary Challenge is a part of the larger “Living the Good Life” Expo.

On September 22, The Free Press will publish an official “Living the Good Life” section and event program. Additional copies will be distributed regionally. Deadline to be listed in the Official Event Program
is Wednesday September 18. The Expo will be promoted using radio, television, and regional newspapers.
