Checkpoint token drops must be made within 150 m of the start/finish line. Also check point token drops are not to be made from the bridge or other boats, and any ground crew swimming must wear a personal flotation device.

Relay Teams:Relay team classes will be categorised in the same classes as the other events, eg MO, XO, LO, MJ18, LJ16 etc. Relay team crews must change within 150 m of each manned checkpoint, (ie. at the top turn and at each time the start/finish line is passed). Murray Marathon Entries/Scrutineering: In 2008 the Red Cross announced that they would not be running the Murray Marathon after 2008. On the assumption that the Murray Marathon will go ahead without the Red Cross, FACC will still be holding the Murray River Marathon Dress Rehearsal. However, at the time of producing this flyer,it was not known if the race will be conducted in 2009, or how race entries and scrutineering will be managed. So Murray Marathon paddlers will need to keep in touch with the 2009 Murray Marathon organisers for details on this matter. Regardless, the 2009 Dress Rehearsal will go ahead as planned.
