The website is currently being updated, it will be completed after October half term.

The new CHASA details & committee need to be updated & a new logo/picture for CHASA was suggested. The children to be asked to redesign the logo as a competition, to be done either in school time or at home?

Events:

14th October - Cinema Night

Film to be decided. The food was discussed & it was agreed that we would go back to sandwiches/biscuit/carton of juice. Still £5 a ticket.

Reception & Year one parents to organise. Tickets have to be bought in advance so we no the numbers to cater for.

Bonfire Night - Saturday 5th November _Crayke Sports Hall

The same format as previous years, parents will be asked to make pancakes which will be served on the night, also decided to sell sweets this year & glo sticks. A ping will be sent out & the board outside school for parents to let us know if they can make pancakes or help on the night.

Christmas Cards

S.S to ask Penny Agar or Heather Ellerker who we contact, the children enjoy doing them & they raise money for the school.

Northbrook Wrapping Paper

It was agreed we would do this again despite not selling much last year. Try to promote more to family & friends.

Easyfundraising

So far this has raised around £1500. All parents need to be reminded how easy it is to use this site & how it makes the money for school. Leaflets will be given to class reps to distribute.

What the raised money has been used for this year:

Le club Francais - children are enjoying this & the teachers! We will review this later in the year.

Digital Cameras

Planetarium

Projector

Spell Checkers

Mr Buttery asked if CHASA would pay £250 for a lady to come to school & do art workshops with all the classes. It was agreed that we would.

Later in the term there may be a school trip to Yorkshire Sculpture Park or York Art Gallery to compliment the art topics being studied at school. Chasa agreed to help with funding this.

Future Meetings

It was agreed that future meetings would be held at school at 6pm. Children would be able to come with parents & this may encourage more parents to attend our meetings.

Future fundraising ideas

S.S suggested a Pig, Wig, Swig & Jig night (Hog roast, Bar & Disco!)

C.C organised a band & hog roast night in Huby which was a huge success. This would appeal to people other than school parents & a date in May next year is to be decided at a later date.

Next Meeting & AGM to be held at school on Weds 9th November @ 6pm.
