Chapter Six Paradigm Shifts

Among serious minded people, the Middle English word paradigm is taking on important modern meanings. There is much talk about expectant paradigm shifts, about some new compelling Philosophy of selflife and the meaningfullness of human existence.

The first meaning that the Macquarie Dictionary gives to the word paradigm is from the point of view of grammar - the set of all forms containing a particular element, especially the set of all inflected forms of a single root, stem, or theme. Language analysts study the paradigm of case. Another listed meaning of paradigm is - a set of concepts shared by a community of scholars or scientists.

In English Grammar, case is defined as the relation in which a noun stands to some other word, or the change of form, if any, by which this change is indicated. There are three cases in modern English – the Nominative, the Objective and the Possessive.

A noun used as the subject to a verb is said to be in the Nominative case: Birds fly. When a noun is the object to a verb it is said to be in the Objective case: Children fly kites. The Possessive case usually denotes the possessor or owner. It is formed by adding ’s to a noun: A child’s toy or by the use of the preposition of as in The toy of a child.

With personal pronouns, we have the singular case paradigm or set {I, me, mine}, and the plural case paradigm {we, us, ours}. The members of the human race must adopt the paradigm shift from singular to plural, from a singular individual unit to a set or unity of pluralized individual units, if they are to survive the lessons of History in Biological and Cultural Evolution - Privatize and Perish.

Feedback trial and error processes are foresighted means to certain determined ends. In all eras preceding the advent of human self-consciousness in this planet's evolutionary development, the eventual fate of any new parts, through success or failure, would have been judged by their feedback effect on the whole system, for better or worse, for richer or poorer. The degree of symbiotic incorporation into an ecologically favourable plural environment measures success, but rejection by such as unsuitable or detrimental determines failure.

In his book, MALICE IN PLUNDERLAND the author expresses concern that the vast majority of human beings are completely ignorant of the planned abuse by the banking system of the role of debt-money in Consensus Economics. This is not an isolated occurrence in the course of human cultural evolution. There are still many contrived fictions in which an aberrant patriarchal make-believe has implicated human thought over the last few millennia. Much of the development of male monotheism has been sired by the father of lies (John 8/44). Not the least among these topics of false male indoctrination is the role of sexuality in the propagation of the human species and in human social behaviour.

For many proud arrogant male ecclesiastical intellectuals in the past, woman was merely a necessary humbug, a perennial sting to their flesh and a threat to Socratic and Pauline all male self-sufficiency.

Today, it is pregnant woman who knows by experience and understands the full implication of the paradigm shift from the singular {I, me, mine} to the plural {we, us, ours}. The emergence of an elegant, highly intelligent and dignified feminism in academic and political arenas and a sense of global pluralism associated with being the children of the same Great Earth Mother are not passing New Age intellectual fads. They are instituting valid paradigm shifts destined to be the salvation of all human kind.

Both physically and psychically, woman is much further advanced in the evolutionary procession and progression to increased complexity and enlightened human development. The prime cause and subsequent course of civilization owes almost everything to her ministrations.

Ecclesiastical and legislative authorities still act as if ignorant of Harvey’s definitive words Omnia ex ovo, Everything from an egg. For men, pregnancy in woman is an externality. For them it is an other’s experience of an event outside their own male self-consciousness. For pregnant woman, however, they are made aware of both distinction and union within their own very being. A woman’s mindset is far better disposed by nature than a man’s to think in terms of “We, us, ours”. The habit of implosive recollection must first be acquired before entering into Aseity’s Queendom of psychical delights.

Freedom from economic slavery to interest burdened debt will eventually be achieved when women once more take control of the course of human affairs as in the millennia of the highly civilized matriarchal eras preceding the invasion of the Middle East by semi-barbaric brutish herdsmen some 4000 or more years ago.

The yearning for increased conscious self-awareness and inner perceptual experience of the numinous, are laying the foundations of cultural movements to replace the outknown myths and outgrown cults of conservative male-dominated thinking in the realms of religion and morality, politics and economics. The motherless child of a same-sex divine sire-son union is being abandoned by its former spirit of masculine despotism and uniformity. Stranded, alone, such motherless child awaits its call to return metaphorically to the womb from whence it first came.

The Methodology which Scientists follow in their research of quantifiable natural phenomena is to try, where possible, to postulate a construed consistent mathematical model which helps to explain present observations and to predict future ones. Reflexively, we humans experience the posses-sion of selflife. We also are aware transitively of self-other life. This author has ruminated all his life on what else may be going on in the Universe, metaphysically behind the scenes. He has construed a consistent Hypothesis of Everything, a Theory of Self-Other Existential Relativity.

How this world began is a subject discussed in Creation Theology and in Cosmology. What is even more important to us today in our concern for global climate change is the topic of the sustainability of selflife in the past, in the present and in the future. The certain fact of our human existence is self-evident. Self-sustainability is a far more profound and complex situation to be contemplated.

The writer has already come to grips with the concept of creation in his treatment of the word nothing. Theologically, so-called creation is meaningless to him. When we use the word nothing, we really mean no other thing than our own knowing self. The author writes about a so-called Creatrix of the Universe. Knowing of her reality, he opts to name her, Aseity - the ever pregnant Mother Self of the Cosmos. She does not make, nor does she sustain her creation out of nothing. She makes it and sustains it out of no other thing than her own “I AM Thou art” pregnant selflife. Aseity’s quintessence is Self↔Other Existential Relativity.

As observed on Page 2, the maternal Goddess Aseity is prolific in her ego-egg fecundity. Psychically, we humans originate as her ego-eggs. In person-defining speech, she is the first-person whose spoken “I AM” resonates as “i am” in every one of her selflife’s second-person “thou art” units. This may be construed as a psychical subsetting analogue of physical mitotic fissioning. What we have been accustomed to call All Creation is in reality her spaced time becoming-ness. Her spaced time physical ovarian words-made-flesh complete the existential self-other relativity of her “you are” ego-eggs, now become the first live phase of her personal human otherselves.

Existential relativity is new to modern academic thinking. It would seem to contradict traditional Catholic Dogmatic Theology. In both Patriarchal and then in Medieval mindsets the conception of a new human being took place when the all-powerful male seed invaded and took possession of an empty womb, and initiated the growth of a new human being inside the body of a future mother. Conception was the event when the spirit of the homosexual motherless sire-son deity breathed into and infused an immortal god-imaging human soul into the seed which the active male partner had ejaculated into the void passive female receptacle.

It would seem that many modern religious, political and legal authorities still have not even the most elementary knowledge of biological evolution nor any personal under-standing of the extraordinary complexity of human sexual propagation. Such notions may have been necessary to accommodate past theological reasonings but today they are scientifically gratuitous. Freely asserted, freely denied.

Perennial priest-prophecy still guides

what left-lobed reasoning of men decides

be fertile evolutionary seed

to feed the pregnant mind's growth seeking greed.

Providing that they keep abreast of what

experiential sciences unknot,

Philosophy and groomed Theology

need no accusing nor apology.

The danger comes when rumination's chew

is canonized as absolutely true.

Dogmatic definition must define

the very terms by which it can confine

within a fixed and finite changeless range

relentless faith whose nature's growth and change.

Fixed creeds and faith act contrary concerns.

Love's vision is the truth for which faith yearns.

Abstraction's truth is not univocal.

Reflection’s mirror, parabolical,

sheds searching light on any valid form

that scientific evidence can norm.

Life's not pure random nor determined heed,

but freed adapting to Eve's current need.

Her Nature's ethic knows no fixed ordain.

If-situations vote their own campaign.

One law, one test, all energies suggest.

In union's whole, distinction finds its rest.

The Sacred Cow of Science has waylaid

Theology, whose lords she would persuade

to drink her milk, from Wisdom's cup divine,

and find new depths to Revelation's mine.

Defining faith immutably, makes bold

emerging mind to still withhold

its gaze from Evolution's fixed intent

of basing truth upon experiment.

Official Catholic Teaching has defined Articles of Faith to be believed by its members and has declared itself infallible in this regard. It has named the Bible and Tradition as the definitive and unchanging divine sources of its Revelation. The latter is said to have ceased with the death of the last Apostle.

Modern scholarship begs to differ. New wine should not be put into old worn out soiled wineskins nor should old dilapidated and discarded scraps of cloth be used as patches for good clothing in need of repair.

Most mythologies contemplate somewhere in their exposition a situation dealing with “In the beginning”. For a being whose essence is selfexistence, some state of being must always exist. Aseity’s “I AM” has never had a beginning, nor will it ever have an end. Ever-pregnant as “We-Us-Ours” through, with and in self-other-life fertility, she knows the becomingness of other-selves in spaced time’s ovoidal confinement. Her togetherness of other-selves intentionally includes specimens that exhibit a wide spectrum or mixture of good and evil behaviour.

Self↔Other Existential Relativity, ”I AM ↔ Thou Art” is the divine Essence responsible for everything that exists. It is given a meaningful name in human speech: it is called LOVE.

SELF AND OTHER MAKE LOVE

LOVE IS THE ONENESS OF DIVINE TOGETHERNESS

The relations of self and other are subject to freedom’s decisions of choice. The existence of true free choice and its ultimate perfection demands situations which admit a quaternity of alternatives, as in, OR neither self nor other, OR either self OR other in distinction, OR both self and other in distinction and union. Self is free to relate to its own soleself in a self-self only relation. Such singularity could become a sterile narcissism. In its mindset’s relationship with an otherself, self’s freedom of choice can posit a continuum of possibilities ranging from total soleselfness to those which exhibit perfect altruism.

Technological Good and Evil can be postulated and applied to the mores or patterns of human behaviour.

Good and Evil in Technology

There is something enigmatic about growth. Both growth and growth rate are self-functioning, yet at the same time they are other-dependent. Live human bodies are self-functioning and simultaneously other-dependent on air, food and water. Though self-functioning, they are not self-sustaining.

First Law of Cosmology

All growth and subsequent sustainability in any evolved or still evolving system of the Cosmos is simultaneously reflexively self-functioning and transitively other-dependent.

Scientifically, this is taken to be self-evident.

Second Law of Cosmology

In the study of self-regulating systems, a necessary distinction is made between positive and negative feedback. Thermostatic devices are used to maintain a relatively constant range of temperature in some place. In a room, electricity may be allowed to heat a radiator. When the air in the room has reached a desired temperature, a thermostat senses such a situation and acts to turn the power off. When the temperature falls below a certain point, the device again senses this and once more the appropriate signal is given, and the power resumed. This self-stabilizing system has but one choice, to turn a switch on or off, and is described as having negative feedback.

If the system had been incorrectly wired, so that the switch was turned on above a certain temperature and off when below another lower fixed point, then an instability would result. It either now remains turned off and cold prevails or once turned on, it goes on heating until a disaster occurs. Such a system is said to have positive feedback. Being progressively unstable, it must eventually break down.
