Station 3

Freddie Kruger went out to his grandfather's farm. His grandfather has rats and bats on his farm. He noticed that there were a total of 26 heads and 68 feet among them. How many rats and how many bats did his grandfather have? (It might be helpful to draw a picture.) Hint: Bats have 2 feet and rats have 4.

Station 4

Last summer, eighteen people attended a Halloween party at the Hollywood Tower Hotel. Each person had to pay for tickets for the party. Tickets for children were $5.00 each. Adult tickets cost $7.00. Mr. Jason, the event coordinator, received $116 for all the tickets. How many children and how many adults attended the party?
