- A “corporation” is a business run by investors. Name two reasons banks lent huge amounts of “capital” to corporations. (614-615)
- How did John Rockefeller create a “trust?” That is, how did he crush his competition to be one of the only people to refine oil in the country? (615)
- “Social Darwinism” was the idea of “survival of the fittest,” and business leaders applied that to the economy. Do you agree with the idea of “Social Darwinism” on page 616? Why or Why not?
