LICENSING NOTE: 0807 rev 11

June, 2006

Changing the Host ID

Changing the Host ID of an existing license file requires a replacement license and is known as rehosting. Valid reasons for rehosting are as follows:

·  You have upgraded to a new machine.

·  You have replaced hardware components in an existing machine, such as the disk drive or Ethernet card.

·  You have moved a product from one machine to another within the organization.

·  You have inadvertently generated a license file using the same Host ID as the previous license file generated.

·  You have changed from one type of license to another, such as from a node lock license to a concurrent license.

Rehosting Policy:

Intergraph Security, Government & Infrastructure will permit a reasonable number of rehosts in a twelve-month period without review for all customers. Reasonable has been defined to be one (1) per calendar year per product. If you require more than a single rehosting in a twelve month period you must have the products covered under a maintenance contract. Intergraph Security, Government & Infrastructure reserves the right to refuse a rehost request or to charge an administrative fee if the number of rehosts in any given period is excessive or if the products are no longer on a maintenance contract.

A separate Rehost Request Form is required for each product per Host ID. If you have multiple products with the same Host ID that are rehosting to the same new Host ID, please use only one Rehost Request Form and include all product quantities and names. If you have multiple products going to multiple new Host IDs, please use one Rehost Request Form per Host ID.

Original Host ID:

Due to circumstances beyond your control, you sometimes do not have the original Host ID. You may obtain the original Host ID by going to the licensing web site, www.intergraph.com/sgi/license. Key in your LAC, and then click on View License. The list of licenses generated is displayed, and the display includes the Host ID.

Rehosting Process:

You can obtain the Rehost Request Form by visiting the User Support section of the external SG&I web page and selecting Licensing Note 0807 (which is located at http://support.intergraph.com/licensing.asp) by sending an email to sg&, or by contacting your local Intergraph office.

If you do not complete all required fields in the form delays will result. The fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required fields. If you omit any required fields, your form will not be processed and will be returned to you for completion.

Email the completed form, which is attached to this note, to sg&. The email is the authorization for us to process, and no signature is required.

The SG&I Licensing team will verify the information, process the request, and email the new license file within one business day depending on volume of requests. If you have not heard back from us within two business days, please resubmit the form and mark it as urgent.
