3. Potential scientific contribution of the proposed research
4. Mode of cooperation and added value

C. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSED JOINT PROJECT

This section should describe the background and the proposed research. The mode of cooperation between the Czechand Israeli groups should be evident, as well as the added value provided by the collaboration.

THE FULL PROJECT DESCRIPTION SHOULD BE SUBMITTED ON A SEPARATE SHEET

The project description should include:

1. Detailed description of the research topic involving the state-of-the-art in the research field, including discussion of the scientific and technological background of each element of the project.
2. Objectives and expected significance of the research.
3. Expected scientific contribution (as well as social and economic contribution where applicable) of the project.
4. Detailed research program, including specific goals, methodology and work plan. Key scientific issues should be emphasized. The roles of Czechand Israeli partners in carrying out the proposed research plan should be indicated, and the mode of integrating the work of the teams should be described.
5. Description of available research resources, including inventory of relevant equipment.
6. Bibliography of relevant literature.

BUDGET JUSTIFICATION

Manpower (Salaries)

• Man months should be calculated as follows: months of work on the project during the contract period multiplied by the fraction of work time allocated to the research project.
• Gross salary includes the following components: basic salary, cost of living increment, seniority increment, family increment, academic qualification and “on-call” increments, including social benefits. Professional advancement fund and sabbatical fund payments may not be included.
• Researchers from the permanent staff of the grantee institution(s) are not entitled to receive salaries from the project. Nevertheless, their contribution to the project should be listed as requested below.
