INFOSEC Professional Program
Certification Request
Successful certification is achieved after the completion of six courses, for a total of 20 semester hours. Upon completion of the certification requirements, students apply to the CS Undergraduate Advising Office for certificate of completion. This certificate may be used as part of a resume or as proof of computational knowledge. Students may earn the INFOSEC Professional certificate, accompanied by a letter explaining the program upon completion of the following with grades of C- or better:
Students are REQUIRED to take the following 5 courses:C S 429 – Computer Architecture / C S 439 – Operating Systems
C S 356 – Computer Networks OR
C S 356R – Intro to Wireless Networks / C S 361 – Introduction to Computer Security
C S 361S – Network Security and Privacy
In addition, ONE of the classes from the following list:
C S 361C – Information Assurance and Security / C S 378 – Real World Information Security
C S 378 – Ethical Hacking / C S 378 – Information Security Product Development
C S 346 - Cryptography
