Students will be expected to work independently and gain control over the material .The majority of assignments will be assigned weekly, however some may take longer. Ceramics two is an advanced level course, as such students will be presented with advanced level assignments.

All students are required to be actively engaged in independently resolving their assigned work. I will assist students, however this is an independently driven class, students should possess the prerequisite technical skills gathered from ceramics one.

Expectations

Within the duration of the trimester each student is expected to do his or her personal best. Everyone has a different skill level and aptitude, however dedication, persistence and a daily work routine usually equals success. I expect each and every student to give their very best effort.

  1. All students will work daily; you will receive participation points weekly. If you refuse to work you will lose your daily points.(If this becomes a pattern you will fail the class)
  2. All students will participate in clean up. If I ask you to help then you pitch in and help!
  3. You are expected to keep up with your own work- I do not have the time to look after your projects.
  4. When I am teaching or introducing a new assignment I do not expect to be interrupted. Disruptions will not be tolerated.
  5. You are welcome to listen to music while you work so long as you have headphones-no headphones means no music.
  6. You are responsible for maintaining your own clothing. This is a messy class, so be advised to bring an old tee shirt or apron. I am not responsible for any damaged articles of clothing, jewelry,I pods ect..
  7. Upon entering the room you will get out your projects and begin to work until I announce clean up time.
