The Co-ordinator is intrinsic to Tonic, supporting the Director and trustees to deliver the organisation’s fast-growing programme of work.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the effective day-to-day running of the office including secretarial support for Board meetings and general organisational administration.

Undertake the administration of a range of Tonic projects, in conjunction with the Director, liaising with project partners, funders and stakeholders to ensure project success.

  • Prepare and oversee Tonic’s annual and project budgets in collaboration with other team members and prepare information for funding claims.
  • Co-ordinate the organisation and promotion of a range of Tonic events, in conjunction with the Director and Trustees.

Build and maintain Tonic’s social media accounts, database, website and marketing materials.

  • Liaise with PR agencies and support the Director in ensuring that Tonic’s operations attain a high profile in the press and media.

Research and write grant funding applications in collaboration with the Director.

Lead the delivery of Tonic’s individual giving programme including management of the donor database and platform.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Tonic personnel, supporters, stakeholders, and partners to ensure the success of the organisation.
  • Represent Tonic with a high level of professionalism at all times and protect the brand and values of Tonic, keeping organisation information confidential.

  • Exemplary communication skills; capable of liaising effectively and professionally across all levels of stakeholder
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Proficient and relaxed at multi-tasking and capable of working effectively across a range of priorities and outputs
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of relevant software including Microsoft Office
  • Experience and knowledge of application-writing and charitable funding mechanisms
  • Experience of writing engaging and informative copy to a house style
  • Ability to work within a very small team
  • Ability to work unsupervised and under own initiative
  • Interested in working for an organisation with a change-making agenda and innovative approach

Terms and conditions

Contract type: 12 months fixed term, 4 days a week

Hours of work: 10.00 - 18.00, with occasional work outside these hours

Salary: £26,000 per annum, pro rata’d

Pension: 2%

Annual Leave: 20 days a year, plus bank holidays and 3 days between Christmas and New Year

Probation Period: 3 months

Notice Period: 6 weeks

Place of work: Southbank, London, SE1
