Description:

The Community Connection Program provides alternative services for juveniles before the court and Court Service Unit. The services are funded through the Virginia Juvenile Community Crime Control Act (VJCCCA) and the five localities we serve (King William, King & Queen, New Kent, Middlesex and Charles City). The services provide an alternative to removing a juvenile from the home thereby providing a forum for supervision while the juvenile awaits his impending court date or supervision while education, counseling or other juvenile related services are provided within the community. The use of community based programs provide an avenue for juveniles to learn appropriate pro-social skills, continue their education, learn skills that allow them to become productive citizens and provide opportunities for them to give back to their communities.
