II. Review of Agenda and Minutes:

·  Minutes from June 6th, 2013 were reviewed and approved with no edits.

·  Changes and additions to the agenda: Added: Building agenda for September face-to-face meeting.

III. Action Items and Possible Activities:

·  Central Region Partnership Budget for FY 13/14 – We reviewed the budget for FY 13/14.

·  Agenda for September 5th Face-to-Face Meeting in Stanislaus County – We discussed agenda items for the September 5th meeting.

§  Ruben Imperial to present on Stanislaus’ educational collaboration

§  CSU’s to present or discuss thoughts on an online MSW program

§  Best Practices in online training

§  Licensed mental health professional shortage – possible Psychiatric Residency program

§  Wellness Works presentation

·  Online CASRA Courses – We asked folks to get students registered/enrolled into the online CASRA courses at MJC and Madera Center.

·  Psychiatric shortage in Central Region – We discussed ideas to address the psychiatric shortage in the Central Region.

·  Travel Reimbursements – We discussed whether we should provide travel reimbursements for folks to attend CiMH learning collaborative meetings. This will go to a director’s vote this month.

·  Costs of CPRP certification – We discussed whether the region should pay for folks to take the CPRP national certification test. This will go to a director’s vote this month.

·  OSHPD has two loan assumption programs accepting applications this month.

·  Mental Health First Aid – Gina will get 100 manuals shipped to each certified instructor who requested them this month. Gina will work with the National Council to set up training dates for 2.5 day youth and 5-day youth trainings for instructors. These will likely be scheduled in January 2014 because the National Council is very busy with many other requests for training around the nation.

·  Cultural Competency Summit Update – We discussed that the committee is continuing to work on planning. There may be an Ethnic Services Manager meeting at the summit. Also, we discussed whether a regional face-to-face meeting should be held at the summit.

·  Gina’s Monthly Work Updates – not reviewed during meeting.

·  Training Sub-Committee - This sub-committee is meeting to discuss Trauma-Informed Care Training, DSM-V Training, Possible Online MSW Program and Interpreter Training. Dorbea suggested that we have the universities present at the September meeting regarding possibilities for the Online MSW Program. We may also request an update on the Student Mental Health Initiative.

·  Roving Supervisors – Merced/Inyo’s clinical supervisor began in Merced and will commence in Inyo when the an agreement is made between Inyo and CiMH.

·  UC Davis Leadership Training Series – This series is going well. We still have approximately 60 participants still attending.
