INTENSIVE ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAM

Central Connecticut State University

The Intensive English Language Program offers English language instruction to international students and faculty, foreign professionals and members of the Connecticut community. The Intensive English Language Program includes classroom instruction in reading, writing, listening, speaking, and pronunciation skills. Students are placed in the appropriate level based on the results of a placement test. This test is administered the first day of the course. IELP also administers an institutional TOEFL test five times a year. Call for dates and location.

Student receives twenty hours per week (8/weeks) English language training in beginning writing, reading, and

conversation. Student activities and two field trips will be arranged.

INTENSIVE ENGLISH LANGUAGE & AMERICAN CULTURE: LEVEL I

IELP (101 & 102) FEE: $2,500 Listening/Speaking Monday – Friday 8:30am – 10:30am

Per Class $1,250 Reading/Writing Monday-Thursday 1:00pm – 3:30pm

IELP (301 & 302) FEE: $2,500 Listening/Speaking Monday – Friday 8:30am – 10:30am

Twenty hours a week (8/weeks) of advanced English language training in reading, writing, and conversation.

Student activities and two field trips will be arranged.

INTENSIVE ENGLISH LANGUAGE & AMERICAN CULTURE: (“Transition”)

IELP 199 FEE: $2,500 Monday - Thursday 1:00pm-3:00pm

16-weeks: January 19, 2016 – May 13, 2016

Ten hours a week of English language training in reading, writing, conversation for 16 weeks. To enter the transition course, students must take an entrance exam. Simultaneously, you will take two regular university credit-bearing courses in your major field of study. ($2,814 plus $58.00 registration fee).
