Center in the Square to Host Free E-Scrap Recycling Rodeo

Cox Communications and Grand Home Furnishings to serve as drop off locations

Roanoke, VA – Center in the Square has partnered with local businesses and agencies to help the region with proper, responsible disposal and recycling of electronic scrap to commemorate Earth Month. On Saturday, April 23, 2016, the public can bring unused and outdated electronics for recycling free of charge at two locations: Cox Communications (5400 Fallowater Ln, 24018) and Grand Home Furnishings (1945 Valley View Blvd, 24012). Volunteers will be on-site at each location collecting scrap from 8am – 4pm.

The e-scrap recyclers will donate a portion of the revenues from the scrapcollected at the e-scrap rodeo to Center in the Square. Center in the Square is a local nonprofit organization providinga unique home for regional arts and cultural organizations, creating and driving opportunities that enhance education, economic development and quality of life.
