WORD
Sunday 2nd April
MurrayWatkinson
Introduction / The message of the Conference came through loud and clear – we need to position ourselves so that we are in perfect alignment with God’s plans for our lives. We need to know who our spiritual mothers and fathers are and begin to submit to them in order to be “under the spout where the glory comes out!” Every blessing received in the Bible was given through a father to son relationship; Abraham to Isaac, Isaac to Jacob (he stole it from Esau, Isaac’s first born), Jacob to his 12 sons, Elijah to Elisha, David to Solomon etc. God’s authority flows within every species – we often call it a “pecking order”. For humans, it flows from God to Man, Man to Woman, Woman to the children; first born, second born etc down to the youngest in the family. It is the same in our spiritual family.Authority is not given by God to control us, we can stop submitting anytime we want – God has given us a choice to submit to Him or not. He has also given us the same choice to submit to our spiritual parents. We need to recognise that all the benefits of God come through relationship – firstly relationship with Him and then relationship with others. To be in alignment is to receive all God has for us – the Bible shows us that it does not come any other way.
Murray showed during the conference the various relationships we can have within the church –
Your Spiritual Mum and Dad
Your spiritual Siblings------YOU ------Your spiritual Siblings
Your Spiritual Children
(1)Your spiritual mum and dad have the wisdom of God for your life. They have what you need to receive all God has for you.
(2)Your spiritual siblings (brothers and sisters) are there as a source of encouragement, blessing, support etc but they do not have the specific wisdom of God for your life
(3)When you have submitted your life to your spiritual parents and we are walking with God He will give you spiritual children to train and disciple and you will in turn have the wisdom of God for their lives.
This is how our spiritual family grows and grows and grows!
Discussion 1
Rom 8:15
Gal 4:6
1 Cor 4:15-17
Eps 1:17-18
Discussion 2
Deut 30:5-6 / If you have new-Christians in your cell today recognise that the message of spiritual fathering and sonship is received through revelation. We need the Holy Spirit to bring this word to life.
Use the natural family to explain how God’s spiritual family works.
At the point of salvation God becomes our Father. He places us in a spiritual family (the church). Within that family He connects us with people who He will use to encourage, develop, inspire and help us in our walk with Him; that we may grow and mature in spiritual things.
Encourage everyone in the group to –
(1)ask God to show them who their spiritual parents are
(2)ask the Holy Spirit to work in their lives daily to help us to submit to Him and our spiritual parents
Ron’s message on alignment covered the following –
Without a father we have no –
(1)Name
(2)Identity
(3)Heritage
(4)Inheritance
(5)Family (brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles etc)
Discuss one or more of these points. You can come from a natural perspective and relate that to our spiritual family, which may help some people understand better.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Encourage your cell members to go into the Word and study for themselves. God speaks to us all according to our own uniqueness and ability. Give them some scriptures to start with and encourage them to ask the Holy Spirit to show them through the Word the revelation of spiritual parenting and what it means to submit to our spiritual parents in the Lord.

CLOSING YOUR CELL GROUP ON TIME
- Refreshments should be available during cell time so you can finish your cell night on the hour.
- Allow people to leave and see them to the door before tending to any prayer needs. (you may want to make an appointment at another time for counseling prayer or foundational bible studies)
- Make sure your cell members leave on a positive note.

PRAYER OF THREE
Matthew 18:19-20
The prayer of three is a prayer of agreement for the salvation of souls.
- Each cell member should have 3 names of likely candidates for salvation.
- The cell is then divided into groups of three for prayer.
- Each group of three exchanges the names so that each group has a total of 9 people that they will do battle for.
- Each day, for thirty days the group should be praying against the demonic spirits and the strongholds that have a hold of the people’s minds.
- The cell may call a day of fasting and once a week when the cell meets they also pray the prayer of 3 as a team.
- On the third week each cell member will call their 3 people and ask about their welfare. They build relationship, not share the gospel yet.
- During the 4th and last week of the prayer of 3 they begin to invite them to a Church/Macro/Cell meeting.

WIN
Teach your group how to lead someone to Jesus: If you are using these scriptures to lead someone to the Lord, keep your presentation very simple.
1.ACKNOWLEGDE before God that they are a sinner – ROM3:23, ACT 3:19, 1 JN 1:9.
2.BELIEVE that Jesus died in their place, that He was raised from the dead to give them eternal life – 2 COR 5:17, 1 PT 3:18.
3.RECEIVE God’s free offer of eternal life.
4.ACCEPT Jesus as their Lord – 1 JN 5:11-12, JN 1:12.
5.CONFESS Jesus as their Lord – MT 10:32, ROM 10:9.
The following is an example of a salvation prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I open my heart completely to You today. I ask You to forgive me for all of my sin, the things that I have done that have offended You and offended others. Lord Jesus, I yield my whole life completely over to You today”.
