4. Describe the setting (museum, visitor center, other) where you plan to exhibit the Mars AEM Kiosk. You might include a sketch or photo of existing exhibits and exhibit space, with an explanation of where you plan to place the kiosk and why. Note that the kiosk is approximately 20 inches (0.5 meters) wide, 60 inches (1.5 meters) tall.

5. Describe any partnerships with local museums, school districts, national parks, etc. that would be initiated and/or expanded using the Mars AEM kiosk.

6. Describe how the Mars AEM kiosk will fit into your overall educational outreach plan. Include a list of relevant goals with explanations of how an AEM kiosk will help you address the goals.

7. Describe how you will incorporate research results from the NASA Mars InSight mission to complement the Mars AEM kiosk into your site’s overall outreach plan.

8. Do you have a tech-savvy person on-site who can upgrade software, troubleshoot problems as they occur, and is conversant enough in computer lingo to summarize any problems with the AEM kiosk? IRIS will provide the cost of replacement parts if necessary, but installation of any replacements is the responsibility of the host institution.

9. As a member of the Mars Insight AEM content development team you will be required to spend a significant amount of time (3-6 hours per week on average) researching and consolidating content (text, images, animations, movies) for the final content pages over the three month content set development time. The content development will last from August through October 2015. Include a letter of support from your supervisor for your participation in this project with your application. Describe your plan for setting aside time to collaborate on this project.

10. A critical component for the success of this collaboration involves team members participating in several online webinars to share content development, training, and project updates using Google+ Hangouts and/or Skype. Please describe your ability to fully participate in this aspect of the project.

11. Please describe your experience with past exhibit and/or curriculum development that was accomplished using a team of educators who did not work for your educational facility and/or were geographically distributed.

12. Please describe your background knowledge in the area of astronomy and space science.

13. One of the requirements for funding the development of the Mars AEM content set is that content development team members participate in program evaluation during the course of this project. This may include pre- and post-surveys, keeping a log of time spent on the project, and post-project interviews. The time commitment for the evaluation component of this project is less than 10% of a participant’s total project time. Are you willing to fully participate in all project evaluation components?
