Eligibility requirements:

  1. Students may receive scholarship once as a graduating senior and once as a declared education major.
  1. The parent must have been a CEA member for the 4 consecutive years prior to applying. If a staff member has been in district fewer than 4 years he/she must have been a member for the duration of their employment.

CEA will once again be awarding scholarships to any CEA member’s child who will be graduating from high school this spring. Scholarships can also be awarded to a member’s child who is presently in college and majoring in education. The number of scholarships presented will be determined by the final amount of money available in the CEA Scholarship fund once all fund raising has been collected.

Application forms for high school seniors are available to Blue SpringsSchool District students in the high school counselor’s office. The application forms for both high school and college are also available from the CEA Scholarship Committee Representatives in each building.

  • All high school applicationsare due to their Blue Springs Counseling office by Friday, February 27th, 2015.
  • If you are an out of district high school student, your application must be validated by your high school counselor in the form of an approval letter on school letterhead and received by Paula Benson or Angela Sullivanby Monday, March2nd, 2015.
  • Allcollege applicationsmust be received by Paula or Angela OR postmarked by Monday, March 2nd, 2015.

Due to the large number of applicants from current college students majoring in education, the CEA Scholarship Committee finds it necessary to have more information about each applicant in order to make a decision
