Today’s Objective is to explore a historical narrative that presents key people, events, and issues related to this focus question: What events led northern and southern states into the Civil War? You will also test your knowledge by answering practice and quiz questions.
The student will
· Activate and build knowledge about the events that led northern and southern states into the Civil War
· Analyze relevant maps, images, and primary-source documents to reinforce understanding
· Demonstrate understanding of the causes of the Civil War
Step One: go to www.sascurriculumpathways.com
Step Two: In the upper right hand corner click “login”, in the log in box type “RHSRAMS” in the username field and click the green Login button. (No password is needed)
Step Three: After logging in, type 1337 in the box that has “QL#” in it and then press the green GO button.
Step Four: After pressing GO a media box will pop up. Type in your Name! Click START à

· Consider the Question presented to you there: “What events led Northern & Southern States into Civil War? (This is the Focus Question for the assignment today)
· Click “Causes of the Civil War” located in the top menu bar.
· Watch the ALL videos/listen ALL to the audio samples/etc
o Make sure to click on ALL the green * button and ALL the red “iP” buttons after you have completed the task on that page.
Step Six: After watching and listening to all the presentations of the “Causes of the Civil War” Section, Click on “Test your Knowledge” in the Menu Bar.
