United Way and Salvation Army’s “Stuff the Bus” school supply collection kicks off Monday, July 13th, to benefit local kids

Beginning Monday, July 13th through Friday, July 24th, the United Way of Lebanon County and the Salvation Army are teaming up for the annual “Stuff the Bus” school supply collection at a number of retail locations around Lebanon County to round up donations of school supplies for local kids.

Last July, almost 6,000 school item donations – including 537 backpacks - were collected by United Way and the Salvation Army and were delivered to local children at 13 schools and daycare centers. If we work together, we can greatly reduce the number of local families who have to send their children to school without the tools they need to succeed. You can set local kids up for a great school year by donating backpacks and/or school supplies for elementary to middle school age. Items will be collected at the following Lebanon County businesses:

Walmart, 1355 E. Lehman St., Lebanon: 7/13 & 7/14, noon—6pm

White’s Harley Davidson, 1515 E. Cumberland St. Lebanon: 7/15 & 7/16, 10am—4pm

Kohl’s, 1261 Quentin Rd., Lebanon: 7/17 & 7/18, 10am—4pm

Walmart, 100 N. Londonderry Sq., Palmyra: 7/19 & 7/20, noon—6pm

BG’s Value Market, 19 Old Route 22, Jonestown: 7/21, 10am—4pm & 7/22, noon—6pm

Lebanon Valley Mall, 2231 Lebanon Valley Mall, Lebanon: 7/23 & 7/24, 10am—4pm

Donated supplies will be distributed to Lebanon School District, Lebanon County MH/ID/EI, Rojas Family day care, Agape Family Shelter, Cornwall Lebanon School District, ELCO School District, The Salvation Army and Northern Lebanon School District, among other locations.
