Position: Senior Pastor
Good News Church is seeking a full-time Senior Pastor to serve our growing church and community.
We desire our new pastor to be a man who himself is on a lifelong walk with Jesus Christ, a devoted student of His Word, and one who is deeply committed to seeing those in his care grow and mature in Christ. He will be the primary teacher and leader of our Sunday services. His commitment to Biblical truth must be unwavering, his shepherd’s heart moving him to be involved in the lives of his flock. He will represent Good News in the community and be personally involved in ministry and outreach in the church, Mosinee, and our surrounding communities.
He will provide spiritual, pastoral, and administrative leadership to the staff and congregation of Good News Church. This includes spiritual leadership through example (modeling Christlikeness), teaching biblical truth, vision-casting, prayer, and leadership development. It is recognized that some areas of his responsibilities may be delegated to others, as he helps them develop their gifts and grow as followers of Jesus.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated effective speaking and teaching abilities,strong relational skills, a passion for equipping and leading others, and an excitement about being part of a larger team working together toward common goals.
At a minimum, candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Bible College or seminary and haveseveral years of pastoring a congregation or leading a ministry of a church that required Bible teaching and personal interaction with the congregation. Previous experience in a Lead Pastor role is preferred.

Good News Church has been a part of the Mosinee community since 1981. It is a community-oriented, gifted and involved congregation. Our Sunday service attendance ranges from 130-180 per week.
We are committed to biblical doctrine, the exposition of truth, and evangelism. We have a solid lay collaboration, a welcoming and supportive community of believers, thriving children’s and youth programs, modern facility resource for ministry, and an emphasis on small-group participation.
Good News places a high value on serving our local community, building and establishing relationships with residents and other churches, and creating a welcoming environment for those who are new to church.
Area Profile
Good News Church is located on the scenic Wisconsin River in Mosinee, a vibrant, middle class, family oriented community of 4,000. It is located 15 miles south of Wausau, WI and 1 ½ hours away from the larger cities of Madison, Eau Claire, Green Bay, Minocqua and Appleton.
Our community of 4,000 is made up of natives, transplants, and boomerangs (graduated students who moved away, but returned to raise their families). The general demographic is of very traditional, white, middle class American families with the vast majority being between the ages of 36-56.
It is a great place to raise a family with friendly residential neighborhoods, low crime,and a variety of activities.
This is a full time position with salary and benefits commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications.
